Born on Chicago’s working-class Southwest Side, John Crivellone built his career the hard way—from construction sites to criminal courtrooms to bestselling books. He now stands at the intersection of justice, privacy, and public awakening.
As a top Investigator III at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and VP of Illinois Security Cameras, John brings real-world investigative firepower to every keynote, panel, and expert witness role for criminal felony investigations. His books—Ink on Your Hands, Big Brother Is Watching, and the forthcoming The American Bubble—have been praised for their piercing narratives and civic urgency.
A proud Italian-American, public servant, and community leader, John is also the current leader of Lawn Lodge 815 and was recently honored by the Freemasons for his civic contributions.

From the Streets of Chicago to the Front Lines of Truth
John Crivellone grew up on the Southwest Side of Chicago, educated in Catholic schools, shaped by sports, and hardened by blue-collar grit. He balanced labor jobs with night classes, eventually earning a degree in business and marketing from Chicago State University.
But don’t mistake the resume for the man, his real education came from decades investigating corruption, surveilling the surveillers, and calling out systemic rot. Now, he’s putting it all on paper. If you want sugarcoating, look elsewhere.
